Immanuel Baptist Church partners with Terry Elementary School to provide mentoring for students, assistance to families, reading resource centers to classrooms, and schoolwide service projects. See the Season of Service video by clicking on any photo.
Character Development: Monthly. Each month, the school has a different character theme which teachers emphasize and instill into students. I offered to send church members to speak on these various character traits and how these traits have helped them in their jobs, families, and other relationships. She will send dates and times available for speaking in classrooms. Point Person: Traci Hogue.Chick-Fil-A and Genghis Grill Fundraiser Nights! Terry Elementary will receive a percentage of all purchased food between 5 – 7 PM on select nights at these two restaurants. Immanuel families can contribute to Terry Elementary and feed their families at the same time at either location. Point Person: Mark A.Staff Appreciation Luncheon. A chance for our Immanuel family to provide a celebration feast to faculty and staff at Terry as an way to provide ongoing encouragement and witness.Called To Teach: July 24. Immanuel is partnering with Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, Fellowship Bible Church, and The Church at Rock Creek to host this event in 2013. This event equips and challenges teachers to utilize their role as a platform for ministry to students and families. Immanuel will once again pay the fee of $25 for all Terry teachers who desire to participate.
